Importing your data is one of the first and most integral steps to making full use of your investory.io account. This makes your data accessible and easily shareable with your investors, and will prove useful when using the dashboard and preparing monthly updates. From the dashboard, go to KPIs.

You can choose between three different ways to import data:
 - Google Sheet - GSheet API (Recommended)

- Manual (Copy & pase)

- MS Excel

Google Sheets

To import your data through Google Sheets, select “Connect with Google Sheet” under KPIs tab.

Choose the appropriate account, and allow investory.io access to the account’s spreadsheets in order to connect your google account. Specify the "Sheet Name" and click on “Import KPIs”.

Your Google Sheet will have to follow the format of our Standard KPI Template, which you can access here, as well as our P&L Template, which you can find here. Important is that the date actually has a date format. The actual values can have your format of choice.

After selecting the correct file and sheet, data will appear in the window, and you can specify the row which has "dates".

Finally, select "Save" and “Import KPIs” and your KPI data should appear!

Manual Input

To manually input your data, select any of the KPIs added under "KPIs" tab.

Simply enter the values into the boxes on this page. You can do this for any KPI.

Microsoft Excel

To import through MS Excel file, select “Import with Excel” and Click or Drag and Drop your excel file.

You can find a standard KPI template for Excel over here.

The Excel file to use for an import will look like below once uploaded. Be sure to fill out information for Core KPIs!

Finally, click on “Import KPIs” and all your data will appear!
